EM&E Group, a leading Spanish group in defence and security innovation and technologies, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tecnove, a Spanish company that manufactures, transforms and maintains bodywork and special vehicles, and Ukrainian armoured military vehicle manufacturer Practika to develop advanced mobile solutions for the defence, security and civil protection sectors. The agreement was signed by the presidents of the three companies, Javier Escribano, Eusebio Ramírez and Oleg Vysotska, respectively, at a ceremony attended by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez; the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky; the Minister of Defence, Margarita Robles; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares.
This strategic alliance aims to combine the technological, industrial and integration capabilities of the three companies to create comprehensive and versatile cutting-edge solutions, such as military armoured fire support vehicles, specialised platforms (ambulances, electronic warfare vehicles, etc.), non-military transport vehicles for demining equipment and any other industrial cooperation in the field of defence to strengthen the Spanish and Ukrainian industries.
Under this agreement, signed during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s official visit to Spain, EM&E Group will contribute its latest technology in remote weapon stations to equip Practika’s advanced armoured vehicles. All this will be complemented by Tecnove’s experience in the integration and transformation of special vehicles.
This MoU demonstrates the commitment of the three companies to strengthening industrial cooperation between Spain and Ukraine in the field of defence, in line with European efforts to reinforce strategic autonomy. The collaboration between companies from both countries symbolises a joint commitment to a more robust and integrated European defence system that is prepared to respond to complex scenarios.
